On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) will feature no trading for Christmas, marking the last stock market holiday of this year. India markets as well as other market including in the US, UK and Europe will be closed.
No activities in stocks, derivatives or securities lending and borrowing segments will occur on December 25. Moreover, currency and commodity markets that include MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) and NCDEX (National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange) will stay shut for the entire day, cancelling both morning and evening trading sessions.
On Thursday, December 26, trading activities will start again.
The next stock market holiday is set for Wednesday, February 26, 2025, celebrating Mahashivratri.
